My 91 year-old mother would never go to another dentist except for Dr. Michael Messina! She has been seeing him for at least 30 years! He is the most caring and the most gentle dentist we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! He is so kind and so very honest-he does not give any unnecessary treatment that he doesn’t feel is needed. His office staff is wonderful and his assistant Gabby is also out of this world. We hit the jackpot when we found this group! Thanks to all of you in the office and a special shout out to Dr. Michael Messina!

Our family has been going to Dr. Canal's practice for over 22 years. It is what you want from your dentist - a professional, experienced staff, clean and enjoyable environment with state of the art equipment. Our kids look forward to going. I feel bad for people who aren't happy with their dentist - or aren't thrilled with their care - and don't know what they're missing!

Definitely 5 stars all the way! I got to see firsthand the level of care, dedication, and integrity that goes into everything they do. From the way they welcome each patient to the attention they give to even the smallest detail of treatment. They treat every person like family and holds itself to the highest standard of care. I've had crowns, surgery, and of course regular cleanings at DGRS with Drs. Canal and Mowad. They are extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the patient's apprehension and comfort - which is great when you sit on the chair with your mouth open. This practice and Dr. Messina is a rare gem around Northern Virginia. Both my wife and I have been going to him for 20+ years - never once we had a bad experience. We had million problems: fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, implants, you name it. Dr. Messina handled all of our problems wonderfully. He is amazingly good and he actually listens to you. Today, I went in for my usual 6-months' checkup and cleaning. My hygienist is Casey. She is without a doubt the best in every way - expertise, professionalism, kindness, caring and just pure love! I must also add that Dr. Moawad gave me the final check and declared everything was fine! He, too, is an incredible dentist. I have had several procedures done by him and he is the best dentist I have ever had. He also has a wonderful persona and is extremely caring and careful and explains everything he is going to do, so that I am always prepared with no surprises. There you have it! 5-Stars and more!

Dr. Messina has been great to me and my family for decades but Dr. Back has been such an awesome addition and has continued the highest quality care as Dr. Messina heads to retirement. I got in for an emergent appointment and had a CT, a referral and a ct formatted into an x-ray with coordination of care to get into an oral surgeon within 2 hours of seeing him. So impressed by this practice always.

Dr Back is simply awesome—in every way! If anyone is looking to establish a dentist in the Reston area, you should absolutely try to get in with Dr Back before he stops taking new patients.

These folks are simply the best. Although I usually see Dr. Colomo, this visit Dr. Moawad did my examination and he is excellent, of course, as are all the doctors in this practice. I use Casey as my hygienist and I am extremely happy with all services. Anyone you choose at this practice is going to be exceptional.
